Overcoming Tech Anxiety
Anyone who knows me knows that I am and have always had resistance and issues when it comes to technical stuff!
So, here I am…staying at home, unable to see clients in my office, to meet in person with the various organizations I am involved with and missing being with friends and acquaintances. I am approaching this time with acceptance as it is something we need to do right now. As a result, we are finding new ways to communicate and keep in touch. If you are like me, this can go one of two ways. I either fall into complacency and let my anxiety around technical things get the best of me, or I can step out of my comfort zone, take a breath and get to it! It feels to me like this new wave of online connection is the wave of the future. When we emerge from this time of social distancing, it is likely that many people will be using technology to have a more expansive reach with their businesses and even with personal interaction. This inspires me to grow!!
What I have learned is that what has held me back has really been my own negative self-talk, the belief that somehow, I am not capable enough to figure “it” out. In other words, I have been convinced by others, or by myself of these limiting beliefs. Today I choose to let all that go! Not that those thoughts don’t surface from time to time, but when they do, I take a breath, flip the script and change the program that is playing in my head. In place of the doubt, fear or negativity, I tell myself that this may be new, but I will figure it out and then I proceed with gentleness!
For me, it comes down to attitude, which is in my control. This pandemic is not yet in our control, but how we move through it and what we learn in the process is. My heartfelt wish is that we all come out the other side of this challenging time with minimal loss and maximum growth. In the meantime, if I can help you overcome whatever holds you back please reach out to me!
I am available for hypnosis sessions online now!!! Please call for details!
